Self-Care in the Time of COVID-19

COVID-19 is one tough cookie. Not only is this pandemic decimating lives, jobs, and security, the emotional toll of all things Coronavirus is staggering and heavy to unpack.

Getting through each day can feel overwhelmingly hard.

Even in the best of times, our daily demands of friends, family, careers, school, errands, homework, activities (the list goes on) can overwhelm our capacity to skillfully manage.

So What Can We Do?

Be gentle with yourself! The many articles urging you to learn those ten languages while homeschooling your kids, losing weight, developing three bonus hobbies, and baking the perfect loaf are putting so much pressure on you! We are all doing the best we can and even as the country moves to re-open, things are not going to feel the same. Taking a walk or vegging out to an episode of 'New Girl' or 'Parks & Rec' may be just what you need to give yourself some emotional space and decompress to face the next moment.
