Postpartum Doula
About Me
I offer educational, practical, and emotional support to new parents and infants as they navigate their new family lives. My scope of work includes adoption, single parents, and the LGBTQ community.
I am a certified postpartum doula through Childbirth International with fourteen years of experience. After completing my training on the Maternity Ward at Hudson Valley Hospital (now NYP-HV), I provided in-home postpartum care and made house calls for Westchester Visiting Nurses and HRH Care.
I specialize in providing personalized postpartum support in clients' homes. Home visits are scheduled according to the clients' wishes and needs.
In addition to home visits, in 2014 I developed the New Parents Support Group programs in conjunction with Westchester and Putnam County public libraries. I now manage and facilitate a network of no-cost in-person and virtual New Parents Support Groups. To find out more, click here.
Ideally, new parents should start their postpartum life with client-specific home visits with me. When they acclimate and feel ready to get out of the house, they should consider joining one of the free New Parents Support Groups that I facilitate. There is no timeline for either service. Clients create their postpartum service calendar to fit their own needs.
