Psychological & Neuropsychological Testing Information and Procedures

Testing is a multi-step process.

Typically, after you inquire with our office, your evaluator will contact you for a short consultation call in order to get an understanding of the referral questions.

If psychological testing is appropriate, an initial intake evaluation will be scheduled to gather pertinent background information, meet the examinee, and talk about what to expect. At that meeting, the referral questions will be discussed and clarified.

On the testing day, the clinician will schedule a block of time to perform the appropriate battery of tests, measures, and questionnaires (approx. 4-5 hours). Frequent breaks will be provided. This part will need to be in person and COVID-19 precautions are required. We ask that the examinee is fully vaccinated and masks be worn throughout the evaluation.

Once all of the necessary data is collected, the clinician will produce a written report that can also be used for reference, applying for accommodations, collaborating with other clinicians. A final report is provided after the feedback session.

Finally, a feedback session will be conducted and the clinician will collaborate, informed by the data gathered, with the examinee/family to discuss findings, diagnoses, and recommendations for school, home and further treatment.

Typically, after you inquire with our office, the evaluator will contact you for a short consultation call in order to get an understanding of the referral questions.
