I believe that seeking therapy at any stage in one’s life is a brave and commendable step. It isn’t always easy to be vulnerable with others, but your openness to the opportunity can translate to meaningful change in your life. I believe strongly in the importance of self-awareness and understanding of one’s own internal struggles. I am committed to helping you address the challenges that have led you to seek therapy at this time. It is an honor to be with you on this journey.
Research has shown that the most important factor in therapeutic success is the relationship between the client and therapist. I am committed to understanding your individual needs, challenges, and strengths in order to provide the most effective treatment for you, as an individual. With the understanding that no two people are the same, I work in an open and flexible manner which allows for new information and progress to be continually integrated in our work together. I strive to work collaboratively with you in order to foster connection and capitalize on your strengths.
I work with older teenagers and adults to tackle difficult feelings around relational issues, life transitions, personal identity, anxiety, depression, and stress. I believe in the importance of understanding each individual as a whole person who interacts with various systems on a daily basis.
